Crissa and Nate had a very specific birth plan and I am so proud of both of them to have stuck by it despite how emotionally draining it was for both of them. It was a long 36+ hour labor for them but in the end the experience was humbling and joyful! I know that they are truly happy to have brought a healthy baby into this world and more than anything I think this has brought both of them closer together. I am so grateful to both of them for allowing me to capture the birth of their daughter.

Thank you Nate and Crissa for giving me this opportunity. I am so excited for you both to take this incredible journey as parents!

Yes, it has been months since we have seen any new pictures on here. While on my abscense I finished up my degree in Nursing and have continued to enjoy the love and happiness from my family. I am happy to say that hopefully more shoots will be in the future.

So remember how I said I was going to this little photo workshop?? Well I got lost on the drive to the place and missed out on all the fun. I was so bummed and I hope that she'll have future workshops that I can go to and hopefully not get lost.

Any ways life is crazy busy and I'm working hard to keep up with everything. Baby comes in about 4 weeks, school ends in about 3 weeks, and lots of picture editing is going on.

I can't believe it's been a whole year since Grant and I got married and what a year it has been. In a nut shell we've moved twice, got a cat, bought a house, and got pregnant! What in the world does this year and the years to come have in store for us? Whatever happens I know we will be blessed with happiness and many lessons for the future. I'm so grateful and so excited!

I love watching this little girl grow, and mommy and baby shots are the best! The weather was great and we got to shoot at a few locations one of them being Alyssa's parents house. Their yard looked like something out of a magazine! Have a look.

We just moved and when I called the cable company to transfer our service (cable and INTERNET) to our new house they said our neighborhood wasn't established enough yet to have service...my house is 7 years old!
Anyways I'll be biking to my dad's house to bum off his internet. Lucky it's only a couple miles down the road.
My goal is to try and post more often since I neglect my blog so much. I have two shoots to post but in the mean time here's a belly bump picture!

I asked Rachel if I could do her senior picture’s and was so excited when she agreed. We hung out around 25th street seeing what cool sites we could find for a good picture. She was a natural in front of the camera which made it easy for me to direct.

Michelle is another one of my oldest and best friend who I took some pictures of so that I could get some practice. It took her a minute to get the hang of having her picture taken because she just kept busting up with the giggles which made me giggle too! Once she got into it though we got some good shots.

I’ve known these two lovely ladies for just about 10 years! So when I look at these pictures I am amazed at how much we have all changed and grown up.

Rylee (the oldest) and Amelia (the baby) are so beautiful and I had fun spending the afternoon with them. It was so easy to for me to photograph Rylee because she was so willing to let me take her pictures. As for Amelia it took eating twice and one nap before she was warmed up to me and ready to have her pictures taken.

Snowshoeing

These pictures are from two separate hikes I went on with just my husband and then another with my husband and his best friend, Andrew. When it comes to walking up a mountain I’m not the best of company because I can be a bit of a complainer but it feels so good when you get to the top and can enjoy the view and see what you’ve accomplished!

It’s hard to see but as we were making our way up the mountain there was a herd of deer at least ten of them! When they spotted us they ran the other direction but as we kept going up we kept seeing them.

One of Grant’s friend spent the summer building this fort off the trail where we went hiking. It was really neat to see the time and effort put into this fort.My husband bought me snowshoes for Christmas. My favorite color is purple so he chose these ones because they are "purple".....what a sweetheart!

What a wonderful blessing little Addison is to parents Brian and Alyssa. She was born four weeks early at just over five pounds. I know this wasn't the easiest pregnancy for Alyssa so I was excited to hear that Addison was healthy and doing well at the time of her birth (and still is!) She is such a sweet baby and I loved taking her pictures.

I don’t know how McKell was able to take the time from nursing school to get married but she did it! The day was cold and it wasn’t until the end of the shoot that I felt like my feet were going to fall off. Her dad was so funny while I was shooting McKell and Joel he was on the side trying to get me to take pictures of him and making funny faces!

I am so grateful for having had this oppurtunity and want to say thank you to McKell, Joel, and their family for having patience with me and allowing me to be apart of this exciting time! I learned so much and I know that it will help me to further my skills in the future.

It couldn’t have reopened at a better time. It was last minute that we decided to shoot her bridals at the State Capitol building. We shot during the first of week of it opening and it was so crowded but we managed and had a lot of fun too.

What a perfect day for pictures even though it didn’t start so perfect. It was the first of many snowstorms to come this winter and I was relieved to see that this couple had made it in one piece. We started indoors and when we decided to go outside for pictures it stopped snowing, the sky cleared, and the sun came out!
